Prakta is in early access
Some sections below reflect that directly — pricing isn’t finalised yet, and most accounts today are trials. We’ll update this page as that changes rather than leave stale commitments in place.
These terms are an agreement between you (and, where you’re signing up on behalf of a practice, that practice) and Allied Health Media Ltd (“Allied Health Media”, “we”, “us”), the operator of Prakta. By creating an account or otherwise using Prakta, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Prakta.
Prakta is a practice-management platform for private medical consultants and their teams — scheduling, patient records, results and referrals, clinical letters, invoicing, and practice-growth tools. Prakta is a tool to support a practice’s own operations and clinical workflow; it does not provide medical advice, and nothing in Prakta — including anything drafted with AI assistance — replaces a clinician’s own judgement. Every AI-assisted draft (letters, patient messages) is shown to a clinician for review before it can be sent; nothing is sent automatically.
Prakta is intended for private medical consultants and their practice staff operating in the UK. You must be authorised to act on behalf of your practice when you create an account, and you’re responsible for making sure anyone you invite to your practice’s Prakta account is appropriate to hold the access level you give them.
You’re responsible for the accuracy of information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised. We strongly recommend enabling two-factor authentication, particularly for any account with access to patient data.
If your practice enters patient data into Prakta, your practice remains the data controller for that data — Allied Health Media processes it on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy and the separate Data Processing Agreement between your practice and Allied Health Media. You’re responsible for having a lawful basis to process your patients’ data, for your own regulatory and professional obligations (including any ICO registration your practice needs), and for only entering data into Prakta that you’re entitled to hold.
Connecting a Google or Microsoft account is optional and entirely your choice, from Settings → Connections. You can disconnect at any time, which immediately revokes and deletes the stored access tokens. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what each connection can and can’t access.
You agree not to:
Prakta is currently in early access. Billing isn’t live yet, and current accounts are trials. We’ll give practices clear notice of pricing and billing terms before any charges begin, and update this section once that’s in place.
Allied Health Media owns Prakta and all associated software, design and content, except for the data you and your practice put into it — that remains yours (or your patients’, as applicable). We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Prakta for your practice’s own operations for as long as your account is active.
We aim to keep Prakta available and reliable, but as with any software service we can’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may update, change or discontinue features as the product evolves. We’ll try to give reasonable notice of any change that materially affects how you use Prakta.
Prakta is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Allied Health Media isn’t liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of Prakta, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or, while Prakta remains free during early access, to a nominal amount). Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law doesn’t allow it to be limited, including for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
You can stop using Prakta and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, poses a security risk, or where we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where practicable. On termination, your practice’s data is handled per the retention terms in the Privacy Policy.
We’ll update the date at the top of this page whenever these terms change, and for material changes we’ll tell practice staff directly inside the product.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
